The St. Charles Womens Lacrosse Club

1.  The  St. Charles Women's Lacrosse Club was established to provide an opportunity for interested high school girls from D303 to participate in the high school sport of Women's Lacrosse. Lacrosse is recognized as an emerging sport at the high school level in the state of Illinois. Interested teams must be associated with a State High School and have an affiliation with the Athletic Department of the participating school. We are recognized by our schools and the IHSWLA as an emerging sport. We adhere to the Athletic Code of Conduct for our schools and comply with the requirements and regulations set forth by the IHSWLA and the IHSA. We look forward to the time when lacrosse will be a fully sanctioned sport at our High Schools and work hard to continue the tradition of opportunity for the children until that time. The team has a history of distinguishing itself on the field. The individual team members distinguish themselves in the classroom and after they graduate from St. Charles. The players, their families, the school district and the city of St. Charles all benefit from the existence of this program.

2.  The  St. Charles Lacrosse Club is a self-funded, unincorporated non-profit association governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who elect their own successors.  Our Board of Directors represent the interests of the members. Our members consist of the parents or legal guardians of qualified female students enrolled in St. Charles D303 High Schools, that have paid the  membership fee to allow their child to participate as a player of the St. Charles Women's Co-Op Lacrosse Team.

3.   Funding for our programs are entirely generated through membership fees, club sponsored fundraising activities and corporate sponsorship. The club is solely responsible for expenses related to the lacrosse program including but not limited to: field rental fees, coaching fees, trainers, referee fees,  equipment purchases, busing, tournament fees, insurance and other miscellaneous expenses.

4.  The Board of Directors is responsible for management of of the registration and fundraising activities as well as player recruitment. The Board is responsible for all decisions regarding the feasibility of any proposed club expenses. The Board recruits and retains the coaching staff subject to the approval of the D303 High School Athletic Departments.

5.  The 2009 Board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Directors of Transportation, Banquet Activities, School Liaisons & Parent Comunications
